I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and trained in the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy, including additional Gottman training working with couples going through addiction recovery. I have extensive training with trauma, and received a Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Certificate (TF-CBT) from Harborview Center for Sexual Assault and Traumatic Stress.
I have also been trained in the APSATS trauma model for helping Partners of Sex Addicts heal. My therapeutic experience includes working with individuals and families with anxiety, depression, and relationship discord. In addition, I have experience working with domestic violence survivors.
I strive to help you and your partner connect in deeper ways by unlocking unhelpful relationship patterns and fostering movement towards empathy, understanding, and secure bonds. Our work together and the skills you learn will extend beyond the therapy room into day to day life and help you grow as a couple.
I am happy to speak with you to see if I am the right fit to accompany you on this path of self-discovery and healing. Please feel free to contact me to learn more.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long will the process take?
Therapy is such an individual and personal experience. Some clients may need frequent sessions for the first several months, and taper down over time. We'll collaborate together to create a schedule with pacing that works for you.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Book your treatment at your leisure though the on-line portal.
Please follow the link under the client portal section to gain access to the Simple Practice client portal- this is where you will book appointments, set up payment options, get reminders and set preferences for your treatment. Please don't hesitate to e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions. Click on Client Portal to start the process.
Will my health insurance cover therapy?
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) a majority of insurance companies will reimburse a portion of my services. If your insurance covers out-of-network benefits, we accept payment for the session and will provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. You can also access your Simple Practice portal at any time to generate a Superbill or invoice for submission. I recommend checking with your insurance for information about covered benefits, limitations and/or exclusions and to confirm the amount of reimbursement you can expect from your insurance, so there are no surprises.
